We're aware that people have many questions about our modular buildings. That's why we've answered the most frequently asked questions below. Should you have any more questions, please contact us.
How much would a Perfect-Fit Modular Building cost?
This varies a lot depending on building style, finishes, specifications, site access & location etc. The best way to get an idea of cost is to fill in an online enquiry form or contact us by phone / Facebook / email with a photo reference for a building from our website and any other relevant info. This way we would be able to give you an approximate cost at an early stage.
Are Perfect-Fit Modular Buildings energy efficient?
Yes, absolutely. We only use high quality insulation, external doors & windows in our buildings which yield excellent u-values (u-values achieved are dependent on the insulation agreed upon at order stage).
Do Perfect-Fit Modular Buildings require planning permission?
In a lot of cases, no they don’t. However, be beware of what other companies tell you, there is no definitive answer to this question. Square meterage of home extensions are cumulative, i.e. you can generally build an extension of 40m2 to the rear elevation of a building but if you have in the past built a 20m² extension (for example) you could only build a further 20m² without planning, thus making a total extended area of 40m².
Another example being, different local authorities have different planning guidelines which may affect what changes you can make to (for example) the front elevation of your building. Certain planning stipulations can also apply to stand alone building’s in terms of location, overall floor area etc.
We would be happy to advise you as best we can at enquiry stage, if you do require planning, specific design or certification services we have a number of engineers / design practices who work with us and directly for our customers.
